09:08 am - Thursday - films from the Middle East There will also be an exhibition of my photography, and of work from students at Birzeit university in Ramallah, West Bank
Cinemitic returns this Thursday July 26th at 7pm with a change of venue but a wonderful selection of short films from the Middle East. Details are in the attached flyer. All you need to do is contribute £25 (recommended donation) and make your way down to the fittingly named St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace off Bishopsgate on the night and enjoy the films, stalls, treats provided by our Kurdish caterers, and opportunity to share views with lovely people.
Some of the films we are showing are:
DAM DAM means 'immortal' in arabic, 'blood' in hebrew and is the abbreviation for Da Arabian MCs. This short follows the first and leading Palestinian Hip Hop group's visit to London.
